Accurately tracking sleep patterns while ensuring data privacy is a major challenge. Apple's strict privacy policies limit access to health data, and variations in sensor accuracy across different devices make consistency difficult.

Solution

To address this, we leveraged Apple HealthKit and Google Fit for secure data retrieval while complying with GDPR and HIPAA regulations. Additionally, we developed custom machine learning algorithms to refine and validate sensor data, ensuring consistent and precise sleep analysis across different devices. End-to-end encryption (AES-256) was implemented to safeguard user data.

With a growing user base, vast amounts of sleep data are generated daily, making it difficult to process and analyze data efficiently in real time while maintaining app performance.

We integrated Big Data technologies like Apache Spark and AWS Redshift to handle large-scale data storage and processing.
